Leopard gecko’s (Eublepharis macularius) are the most popular lizard and most sought after choice among lizard and reptile lovers all around the world?  Why you might be asking?  Because they are friendly, low maintenance, and quite enjoyable to be around.  In fact, one prime reason in which you may wish to buy a leopard gecko is because of their low cost, which can easily be under $200 and then crickets and mealworms each month.  Almost anyone on any kind of budget can afford to buy a gecko!

As mentioned above yes they are easy to maintain, but don’t get it misunderstood that they don’t need the care and love a puppy or kitten would need.  The only difference between a “traditional” pet is that they eat insects and are nocturnal.  However, if they are raised correctly and handled properly they can be one of the most lovable pets you have ever had in your life.
